Well--it looks like a military Remington rolling block rifle. If it IS a Remington,
it should have some markings on the barrel. They were made under license in
several countries, and just plain copied in a few more.
The genuine Remingtons were used by the military of around 30 countries, in
upward of 20 different calibers---you might want to have a gunsmith check
it over and maybe do a chamber cast to be sure what cartridge it's chambered for.
