I use the ladder method.
I climb halfway up a ladder and if it doesn't kick me off it's good.

I use the french method. If it knocks you on your derriere, that's just about right.

IOW, it's doesn't particularly matter in a blunderbuss. You can use standard load data as you would for any smooth bored shotgun, but it's never going to act like one so... what's the point? Pressures don't stay within the barrel long enough to particularly warrant an overpressure concern. A "handful" of powder, a "handful" of shot, prime.... then let'her rip!
