I have a Ruger M77 in .338 win mag. I want to develop a load for hunting in the coastal range. What bullet and grain do you like the best?

I've tried; Nosler #16337 210 grain with 67.5 gr. W231
yes, I had w760 written down in the load data book, and for some reason I have w231 in the Pointblack software.You mean W760 right?
3/8" groups? is that a 1 shot group? thats damn tight for a big bore hunting rifle! or is it a dedicated paper puncher?My Savage 111 likes 250 gr. Partitions.with 72 grs.of imr 4831.shoots 3/8" groups when I have a good day.

Factory hunting rifle.I shot a 3 rd group sunday using 68 grs of rx 19 and Sierra 215 gk bullets that was smaller than 3/8".Dont think for a minut that I shoot like that all the time,I dont.I get lucky sometimes.I do believe though that the rifle is very capable of this kind of accuracy.3/8" groups? is that a 1 shot group? thats damn tight for a big bore hunting rifle! or is it a dedicated paper puncher?

Well... no. Its for the 340.83 grains of 4831 behind a 250 grn partition? thats not a .338 win mag load. post #8
