Where is this "right to riot" law you speak of?Isn't it funny that the State will take away your right to go to church? But, they don't take away the right to protest and riot? Washington State is so messed up. Sorry to call this place home. Maybe we will get lucky and turn things around in November?
Well it's all on the voters. You can't blame the law makers for doing what they do. They get away with it so why stop? Now if the voters finally get a belly full and start kicking law makers to the curb? Yes, you will see change. Many of them will not believe in what they are doing but to keep their jobs they will change. We shall see this fall.Isn't it funny that the State will take away your right to go to church? The main point I was trying to express is that the government should take stronger action on riots and destruction of a persons property.
Yep!!! The places that allow this garbage are the places where the voters said this is what they wanted. Hope they are enjoying it.And that is the problem... everyone says government should do X or Y and they never think about what they are asking for.
Right now there is a very WOKE society in areas that approves of the stupidity that we are seeing in some states , and yet you do not see it in other states..
Remember politics is downstream of culture . Encouraging a culture of permissiveness and decadence ultimately nets heartache for any civilized society.
The cure however doesn't reside with government or giving government more power.
Know why they have a strangle hold? People who like having rights, like guns, are like herding cats. This place is a VERY small portion of the gun owners and look how many hear wish Trump had lost. They are hoping he loses this time. When I1639 came along how many gun owners could have cared less? When we tried to put it on the ballot we could not even get enough gun owners to sign the damn petition. The only strangle hold here is the people who are either too lazy to bother or who actively support the wrong side, then scream and complain when the people they helped win, do what they do.The thing is, no matter how bad things get, the left still has a stranglehold over the Pacific Northwest. I'd bet $100 that the leaders who so poorly handle the militant left now, will be returned to office by comfortable margins. Honestly, most average voters in the Eugene to Portland to Seattle corridor are awful human beings. They are overwhelmingly self-loathing, poorly educated, anti-social scumbags.
But they're in charge.

Yep they make great "useful idiots". When they get the kind of government they scream for it's of course enforced at gun point. Then it's too late. The best part is when the morons they helped elect pull major screw ups the useful idiots blame people who had noting to do with it and have no power there.Something anecdotal for you to ponder on , but 3 years ago I went to a concert in Eugene at the Woodsmen hall . I remember having to goto the latrine during that concert and was waiting my turn in line, on a bulletin board there were numerous socialist and communist flyers posted in there.
I have a friend who is a native that lives in Corvallis whom I have known for many years and he told me before I moved here that Portland was called Moscow on the Willamette I didn't totally get it till I went to that concert. Where I am from you'd never ever see anyone openly proclaim to be a communist. Yet I have seen people publicly fly socialist flags at the state capitol ..
Last time I went to Portland a year ago there was a socialist community organizer canvassing for signatures for whatever the cause dejour was . What I have noted in 5 years is that there is rarely a day that goes by that something isn't being protested . Even if it doesn't happen in Oregon some idiot wants to "sympathy protest" because something happened some where and someone should be outraged.
It all boils down to a bunch of people having never been told no as children and a permissive culture ...
