What is this part for? Lone Wolf G20T Slide

    I received my new Lone Wolf tactical slide and ported barrel to build my G20 and it looks awesome...but I have no idea what this black grommet is for. Anyone have a clue?

    Is it a buffer that fits on the guide rod to help reduce the shock between the slide and frame.
