I can NOT remember what this is. I knew once, but old age and very bad CRS has left me baffled! LOL. HELP.

Thanx for the welcome! Not really ANY primers there, just small holes that LOOK too deep to be "fixed" primers, but I could be wrong. I THOUGHT they might be some sort of grenade launcher rounds, but, out of a 1911, I doubt it. SOMEONE old military buff will recognize them.
 
I think that is a mortar primary charge. Morton shells come with the explosive charge and secondary charges all built in. To arm the shell you screw in a fuse of one sort or another and add the primary charge then drop it down the tube.

I believe this because of size, shape, and packing in the box.

I am willing to accept other alternatives.
 
THANX FELLAS. I found 'em. They are WW2 M& grenade launcher AUXILIARY (extended range) rounds. Grunts called them the "vitamin round". I knew ya'll would lead me in the right direction. It all came back to me! Thank you again.
