What is the best scope to buy for less then $400 for varmit hunting?

    I recently purchases a .223 and now I need to purchase a scope for it. I want to spend less then $400 so I would like some recomendations. How do you use the windage adjustment and elevation adjustments. With my deerrifle and use a 3x9x50 Leopold. I like the quality but not sure that I want leopold or nikon or??? Please help..

    Deffinately check out the Nikon Buckmaster 6-18 with the fine dot. It's a great scope for the $.

    I kind of have the same question but I would also like camo to match gun or at least a surface that I could camo.

    that's what I have on my Savage .22-250

    this combination, with Nosler 55Gr ballistic tip, and 35.5Gr varget puts 3 shots in 1 hole at 100 yards, from prone position with a bipod.

    Cost about $275
