About 30 years ago I traded a Raven 25 auto that I had paid $50. for straight across for a Colt Woodsman in excellent condition. A couple of weeks ago I picked up Ruger Service Six in 38 special in excellent condition for $150. I later discovered that it was a Liberty inscribed edition from 1976

Oh and I forgot about the 16ga stevens double that was also part of the $400 buy out of coworkers guns. I did endup trading the winchester 28ga for a smith and wesson 29 .357
The double went to brother... after some rework
The remington p1917 I think will end up being a 338-06 at some point
All the .22lr will just be what they are and have fun with them.

Nice!!
I just picked up ruger liberty one last month for $300!
Nice buy on both accounts!!

Bought a black powder revolver for $70. Traded it for a Mosin-Nagant that turned out to be some special ski-trooper model. Traded the Mosin to Trainsktg for an M1 Carbine with 600 rds+/- S&B ammo. Sold the carbine to Deadeye and bought a S&W 4006 TSW from Coctailer. Sold the S&W and bought a Kel-Tec Sub2k. Sold the Kel-Tec and bought a suppressor.

Semi auto clone of an Ak74u built from a pristine all number matching Bulgarian kit with 4 Izhmash plum mags, Bulgarian 1982 tan colored sling and 4 mag pouch for $500.00.

Bulgarian milled RPK 7.62x39 #231 of 300 imported prior to 1995 for $300.00

Thanks to the Glock Blue Label program I got a G23 for $425 new, 2011. Should be getting a G19 this year for the same price. Not amazing, but I like that they have a program. This was California, so It might be cheaper here.

I bought an unfired Winchester model 70 in .270wsm with leupold vx3 with 200 rounds of .270 wsm and a Remington model 700 .338 win mag with a leupold vx3 and 500 rounds of .338 win mag for $350.

What I've traded for: I bought a little 8 foot walker bay boat for 20 bucks and traded for an unfired para ordnance 1911 A-1

Bought a mint condition Savage 99 in .308 along with two boxes of Lake City 7.62x51 FMJ's for $150 with some high school graduation money. Best deal I ever got. Unfortunately being young, dumb, and full of stupid at the time this also turned out to be the best deal another guy got a few years later.

I hate threads like this because all I can think about are the guns I paid *way* too much for like the $500 SW .38 or the ones I regretted selling like the $79 SKS.

I picked up a nice 10/22 w/metal trigger group from CycleSurvivor for $150. My daughters 597 from a pawn shop for $100 OTD.

I have two that are tied in my mind.

1. Gun Safe from a member of this forum (not bad with those high security locks with the round keys) for a 12 pack of Ale and $26 to get the Locksmith to make 2 keys for it.

2. Found my wife a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield for $400 here on the forum about a month after they came out.

Another just came to mind - picked up a Schmidt-Rubin K98 at a pawn shop for a song - because it was missing the mag. Picked it up as a gift for a friend, as he was a big fan of the rifle - had ammo and all. Took it out to show friend's dad, who had a mag in his safe. Turns out, the numbers match! Seems rifle had been stolen from him quite some time ago and now mag and rifle are reunited.

My best score was a brand new, (still) unfired Mossberg 590A1 with Blackhawk sling, soft case, red dot optic, M9 Bayonet and 100 rnds of Winchester 00 Buck for $420. I thought that was a pretty screamin deal!!!!!!
