Nice M-11s Have one in such nice condition that I would hate to shorten
my barel! "Sides, have a Stevens Trench M-520, Ithaca M-37, and a Rossi
Coach gun, all with 20" barrel. An addition is a Contender chambered for 3"
.410 wearing a 10" barrel. Choked to a very tight pattern up to 50 feet at
least.

I found a couple of extra barrels on-line and shortened those. One of the originals has a Cutts Compensator on it, so no way would I hack that. One of the shortened barrels is a Stevens barrel, and it fit.

Old Skool Shotty Goodness!

A pair of Remy M-11 12 ga. shortys. 18 1/4'' tubes with 5 rd capacity each. One in each hand for any zombie elimination scenario you can come up with!
Old skool for sure.

Dad keeps an ole '97 Winchester around for "Homeland Security" duties. IIRC it's a 1923 vintage gun.

...handles like a fence post and kicks like a mule, but dam it's cool.

Nightstand: Model 65 .357 with Federal Hydrashocks below a cordless phone on its
own line and a flashlight.

Beneath the bed: Mossberg 500 w/ 18.5" barrel and #4 buckshot all the way to the end.

Behind the door: older, single-trigger Spanish SXS w/ #4 buckshot

In "hidey" holster in bathroom: Ruger P94 with Golden Sabers

In office drawer: Ruger LCP with Golden Sabers (soon to be Buffalo Bore after I get the
gun back from Ruger)

@ Spook89 has posted some wise words here. About the time you figure out somebody is getting past your door and the time it takes someone to cross a room is a few very fast seconds.
It worries me to see some of the plans that include trying to combine a magazine with an empty gun while those events are unwinding, but as they say to each their own.

Over here, the "welcome" piece on the bed bridge is usually whatever one I was carrying that day, but sitting in a holster so that sleepy hands can't accidentally turn the "alarm" off.

That'd most often be the G21 or S&W 638 loaded and ready.

Always loaded, always carry, try to be always aware.

1st: locked and deadbolted
2nd: crazy Jack Russell that barks at his own farts
3rd: locked bedroom door (female unit hates this)
4th: cordless phone
5th: Her side: SXS 12 gauge, single trigger -- she's first because she is a light sleeper
6th: My side: Model 65 357, Ruger P94 9mm (gotta have a backup).

Yep, a bunch of them...Folders mainly. Usually carry everywhere except
bed annd shower. Inexpensive ones that I can aford to lose:( Lately
it's been the S&W imports and try to stay away from serated stuff.
Like their Boarder Guard and alsocarry a little imported Schrade. LEO
duty, First Response knife.:s0155:

Let's see...deterants and booby traps? Well, that would have to be Samson, our Rotty...he's got a sick sense of humor; he likes to see blood. He sleeps at the foot of our bed, and is a light sleeper like me. As for blades, does a machette qualify?:D
