What is acceptable for a signature?

So if this is already covered somewhere but I was unable to find it. I was wondering if it was acceptable for me to put links or say what items I have for sale or am looking for in my signature? I kind of assume it's not since I don't see anyone else do it but I thought I would ask anyways.
