I'm going to need a second job.......

When I had friends help me move some years back, one guy pulled a small flatbed trailer behind his truck. We loaded the safe and ammo cans on it. They were all laughing as it piled high. One friend said he'd never seen so much ammo all in one place, and he's a Marine combat vet who served two tours in Iraq! (I still say he was exaggerating)

More than anything else, that's what convinced me that I had a problem. Over the next few years during the height of the ammo drought and scare, 90% of it went away (at high prices). Most of that money went towards medical expenses, but I don't miss owning the ammo. I had been dragging some of it around for nearly 30 years.

I don't like people knowing exactly how much ammo I have, or certain guns that can't be traced to me (and confiscated). I am in your ballpark on several calibers though. It seems to be a reasonable amount if you do a lot of shooting. I have not had a 700 round outing in quite a while, and it is time - my personal high for centerfire when my Dad was reloading for me with two Dillon 650's.

I inventoried mine before moving last spring and came to the realization that I was going to need at least another lifetime to shoot it all up. Shortly after sold all my reloading equipment and components.

If you see any good deals on 357 mag let me know though. :)
SGAmmo has FMJ flat point PPU for $159.90 for 500 rounds ($15.99 a box x 10). Nice plinking ammo. $14 shipping.

AmmoSeek is my go to for finding some of the best deals on ammo.
