Yes Soylent Green was a pretty good movie. Back in the 1970s global cooling was talked about and I watched the TV show, "In Search Off" and there was a episode about this.

And the same people who shoveled that horsecrap switched to "global warming" in the '80s after being proven wrong, and have now switched to "climate CHANGE" to cover their bets both ways without a long-term understanding of how climate cycles work over decades and centuries...

Let America keep electing socialist democrats and we'll soon find out now, won't we...

What if California happens here?
Thank the Jesus Trump stuck it to em rescinding their vehicle emissions fiefdom that affected everyone to the tune of God knows how much money over the course of forty years.

I guess the problem I was having was the "if" and not "when" in the title. Look at history, it is WHEN it happens here, not if. Rome, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, etc., etc., all fell, what makes you thing that we won't?

Just finished PATRIOTS v. 4 (expanded version) for a book review. How many is that? Grey 90s, Triple Ought, Patriot (self published, not for sale), Patriot v.1, Patriot v.2, Patriot v.3, Patriot v.4, Patriot v.4 (expanded). Those are the ones I know of, may be various others. Several different publishers and what not, so hard to tell with all the different copy rights and versions. Patriot (v.4 expanded) least objectionable version so far. Oh sure they are still murderous highwaymen (and women), looters (sorry, THEY don't loot, they "redistribute the wealth by taking it away from you, and killing you if you object"), and are "sovereign Idaho citizens" when holding people (other "sovereign Idaho citizens") who are using there Constitutional Right to Travel on public roads at gun point and looting... er... redistributing the wealth and murder... er.... killing "cannibal looters" they were looting. They go on and on and on and on and on how they aren't looters, but the point was lost on me. Loved how they whined when that was pulled on them. Their solution was the kill everyone who did unto them what they did unto others.

Happen here? It kind of did ... a relatively short drive from where I am right now, one can enter a fun-filled Socialist Paradise that includes such treats as massive government debt, over the top gun control, the power about to go out for a week for 800,000 citizens, a disturbingly high percentage of the area on fire, hordes of homeless, staggeringly high taxes, and the streets, literally, covered in fecal matter.

What is Commiefornia? Alex...

Indeed. Not that I have much use for cities, it is disturbing how many of the major urban areas on the west coast share many of the characteristics of a Petri dish and a toilet.

I have to drive through Seattle four times a week.
I don't stop for anything stay on the freeway .
I used to go to Seattle every once in a while.
Mostly because friends from out of town wanted to go there.
Now I just tell them IT'S A $#!+ HOLE.
you don't want to go there.
and now it's spreading.
I saw a guy having a drug episode on the sidewalk in MT Vernon the other day.
Lol sitting on a bus bench haveing withdrawal.
Shaking and can't walk or talk.
I kinda thought he was having a medical emergency.
But then I realized he was from the small homeless camp of drug addicts from across the street.
So I kept driving.

I hear you. Though I grew up really rural, I had a uncle in the Seattle area. The family would go up there from time to time to visit his family, catch a Mariners game, go to the fish market, visited the Space Needle a few times, etc. Now? I couldn't be paid to bring my wife and children there. I only stop in Seattle if I have a connecting flight to somewhere else.

Not now .

I once told my worthless neighbor, "Tom, you're only any good as meat on the hoof for my dogs during a disaster." He was drunk and has probably forgotten. I haven't.

I will snack on the dog kibble if necessary. They'll rely on their neighbors.
I was sitting around with a friend of the family and the topic of SHTF came up. The first thing he said was, "if anything goes down, I'm coming to your house". I looked right at him and told him that he would not get a warm reception and then told him to get off his @ss and do some prepping for his family. He makes way more money than I do and he has no excuse for being unprepared. Like I told him, it's not my job to take care of his family.
