What height rings do I need?

I bought a rifle awhile ago and finally just ordered a Vortex PST 6-24x50 scope that I haven't received yet. My question is what are the shortest rings I can use? I've been eyeing the Seekins low .82" or medium low .87" rings in particular. I also haven't decided wether to go with a 0 moa or 20 moa base so any input on either or both as far as ring height goes would be appreciated. Thanks

The height of the base will make a huge difference, much more so than the .05" of the rings. Rule of thumb for me is low with 40mm and medium with 50mm, but if you have a high base(EGW, etc) then you can still get away with lows normally.
