Assuming the tranny or the 4x4 system doesn't blow out I will give the edge to the 1500. My dad has his in the shop again. AT went years ago and that was an almost $3k bill. Seals in front axles are going to be somewhere near $750. He has put thousands in repairs for that truck. And the AC doesn't blow cold anymore. He is saving that repair for another time.
