What ear muffs give a good cheek weld?

I have some Impact sport muffs. While great for a pistol they do not fit well for me with an optic and trying to get a good cheek weld and sight picture.

I use these:
Peltor Tactical 6S Behind the Head Electronic - MPN: 97043-00000
They are really comfortable and have good electronics (they are amplified). The band goes around the back of your neck so you can wear a hat comfortably. They are only rated NRR 19 dB, so with my .308 I use ear plugs also. I can still hear conversations with the gain turned up all the way.

IMHO none of them. I have tried several and they all have the same issue. I might regret this later in life but I just go with it

Yea, you will have to go with an ear plug of some kind.

The only exception I've found is with a level .22 I have. The scope is so high to avoid the hammer that I get a great cheek weld with Leigh High slim ear muffs.

I don't wear earmuffs because of this issue.

My go to are cheap and work.

Looks like I'll have to play around with different stuff to see what works out .

That would be nice but don't see it in the near future so I took the plunge. Seven months and counting.

There may still be a few surplus ones from Fukushima that demonstrated good cheek weld. As long as you don't mind peeling off some skin and the daylight glow.

I went digging through all my crap at work and found an old pair of Howard Leight muffs.

You can rotate the cup 90 deg and it has a lot more clearance. Not exactly compfy if you have big ears...
Not enough of a bother to have it sit that way for a mag or two though.

Cans are expensive, I get it and could see shelling out the coin for one.
The forever waiting to use something that you paid quite a bit for on top of the tax stamp fee is just grrrrrr.

I'm good on guns for a bit (ha) looks like I may just have to bite the big one and pony up and wait.

I wore these at the Cerberus training event it worked perfectly. When I should at indoor ranges I double up and put ear plugs in as well.
