This reminds me of a short conversation I had with a couple guys way back in high school (a long time ago).

It was commonly known that I liked guns, so these guys came up to me and asked "How much does a gun cost, you know, on the street?"

Huh? "On the street?" I told them I had no idea what they were talking about. What kind of gun? What street? I've never seen a gun on a street, let alone bought one there. I told them they've been watching too much television.

I recently had a young acquaintance tell me he could get a functioning Glock pistol for $50 "on the street" of a regional city... seemed pretty cheap to me, even for a hot gun... a friend wanted to front him the bux and tell him to go for it just to see, but "no"....

Agreed on MG prices, but you never see them . I see 2-300 dollar guns all the time

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and there are many variables involved... depending on the situation, the individual firearm, buyer and seller... etc
