Guns give a more dramatic affect in a picture than a knife or baseball bat. Guns are built for 1 thing. To kill. Hard to cut a steak or hit a hardball with a gun.

Like tattoo said, the guns make for more drama. These news organizations make their money by selling advertising. More drama leads to more "click throughs" which leads to more advertising dollars. Same as tv with ratings. Even if a bunch of angry gun rights activists go to that site to check out that post, it's just making CNN $$.

well lets see what the numbers are of people dying each year by cars vs firearms, i'm sure we all know the answer to that one. So where is the talk of outlawing cars, well of course we cant do that , bailouts,oil,insurance, parts made in other countries thanks to nafta, and so many other such scams lies and deceptions. Ding Ding! Let's outlaw guns because they do make it easier to kill human life. But let's outlaw human life killers in order from highest killers to lowest killers starting with abortion, cars, alcohol and tobacco, what's the next one? maybe guns?
