I did the ReadyLift leveling kit on out 2013 Tacoma. It's 2.5" front and a 1" block on the rear.

The problem I have experienced is the lift changes to alignment to the point that once the camber and toe are put back to spec, there is not enough adjustment to get caster back to spec. What happens is the truck does a lot on tramlining on groved pavement...very irritating on our Oregon roads. On smooth flat road...no problem. Groved/worn roads it wants to pull one side or the other.

I'll probably end up looking for an alternative which would allow caster to be adjusted further, but haven't decided yet.

Interesting. I was leaning towards a 2" front 1" rear...
Maybe ill try to go smaller
I just need a little height to clear the bigger tires we bought along with the wheels

I drove company cars most of my life. Nothing to get excited about. I had never had a car I really wanted and I am old. I always wanted a 4runner. Wife and I talked about it for over a year. One day she said, you deserve it, go get one. I ran out the door before she could change her mind. I am a happy man now.

I drive this occasionally when I need to haul something that won't fit in my car:

I have another truck for larger loads - most of the time it is full of firewood. I use my trucks instead of tractors/etc., I was tempted to get a tractor, but it seemed to me I could rent equipment for when I needed to use that kind of machinery, or I could ask my neighbor to do something with his tractor - like move a little bit of dirt.

The big truck will eventually have the heavy steel flatbed removed and replaced with a lighter flatbed and a camper and remodeled into a 4WD RV after I retire.

Nice but looks like payments to me. Or on my budget ;)
I couldn't afford new even if wanted one at this time.

That Stihl chainsaw is far too small for the firewood.

I have a smaller bar for it now. That is the bar it comes with and I use that for the few large diameter logs I have (mostly gone now) and the big stumps I am cutting down to ground level (so they will rot faster).

All of those trees in the photos are on my property and that is after I had them thinned.

I will probably get a smaller saw someday so it doesn't wear me out so fast. Something that I can carry in my RV.

I got a large saw so I would have something that had enough power for the stumps and other stuff like a winch and auger.

Was a standard bed until it was hit in the driveway 2 months ago. Now I am in love with my truck. '07 GMC Sierra Classic (old body style) 2500HD w/Allison and 6.6 Duramax. 215K on the clock and never had any major issues, except the recent T/A.

Geez, all these new rigs. I feel poor by comparison. I gave my daughter my commuter car (1997 Honda Accord EX) and bought a newer commuter (2009 Ford Escape), my wife drives a 2005 Honda Pilot EX and I also have a 2004 GMC sierra 4x4 with a bunch of new parts in it. Thought it was going to fall apart there for a while, but kept replacing parts until it's almost like new again: New tranny 2 years ago, new transfer case last year, new power steering unit, rebuilt front differential, and new locker in the rear.

My 2000 Suburban has only 180k so far, just getting broken in. You've seen 'em; the ubiquitous Pewter "gold" color Suburban. Completely unnoticeable. But what a rig. Can haul firewood stacked to the top. I've hauled 14 sheets of drywall, put the rear seat back in and had 6 kids in the back two hours later. Leather heated seats and A/C...it's like a Cadillac to me.

Looked at new Suburbans and was quite disappointed that the rear seat wasn't removable! What a downgrade from my 2000! Really decreases the utility of the vehicle. Less towing capacity too. Other than the "fancy and new" issue, I can't see a reason to trade.

In 2000 Chevy hit a homerun with the 5.3 liter V-8. 17 years later, still in production with only 20 more horses. Yes, 6 speed instead of 4 speed transmission, but that's it in 17 years? I'll keep what I have, thank you very much.

Nice!
I used to have a '73 Kammback GT wagon about 30+ years ago.
Never looked as mean as yours, though. What year is that, '71 or '72?

I had never played with NO2 on a personal basis. I built a 1961 Corvette for the mayor here and had his left over 283 ci engine. It had a steel crank so I put together a nice nitrous motor for the Vega. The rear axle is the same as I have in the HenryJ. I actually built it using the leftover axles from the HenryJ. 9" Ford. The Vega got a Detroit locker. Really a nice tight driver. Just over 70k actual miles IIRC. Very nice driver. Originally built for my wife to race. Now, I think once painted my son will get it :)

Ah, the ol' Panel Delivery.
I like that heat shield you built for the air cleaner. Very nice work.
The touch of white in the chin sets off the blue nicely, too.
Sweet ride man, thanks for the details.
