Well i ran out of small pistol primers ... Then I ran out of powder with 4 bullets and about 15 cases of 38sp left... Anyone in vancover wanna sell some 357 hard cast bullets ?

Thank you. You should see the look on people's faces when they see it actually being fired. :D

There are no 357AMP shells or loads offered on the market. You have to make them. The 357AMP is a necked down 44AMP. Then I am loading it with a 158gr 38/357 bullet. I am just starting to load for it so I am loading them light, with just 19gr. of H110. Testing was documented using a nice little load of 20gr H110 and they were averaging CUP pressures of 46,500. :s0001:

I also got a chrono for Christmas and am hoping to do some speed tests soon. :s0155:
I used to load 22-ish grains of H110 behind a 210gr bullet in a 41 Mag. That 158 ought to fly!

Next on the list to load for this is a 125gr. If I remember correctly it's supposed to take around 25.5gr of H110. That should be a moving round! I can't wait to chrono it too.

Would you want to share load data?
Sure. I went out and shot them all (.224 Valkyrie Ladders) today and recorded all the data. Give me a bit to log it all in and I'll happily post it up.

Thanks for posting that data!
One thing though. Your MOA is incorrect. If that's 200 yards, your MOA is actually half of what you wrote. IE, a 2.000" group at 200 yards is not 2moa. It's actually 1 MOA.

You're ripping yourself off :D

Holding myself to a higher standard?!? Thanks for the information, it does make me feel a little better about my skills (or lack thereof). I will change the data in my logs.

Side note: I prefer shooting the test groups at the 200 yard line under the auspice of giving the projectile slightly more time/distance to stabilize than it would at the 100 yard line. Not sure if my theory is flawed, but I sure would like to see one group of 5 rounds through a single ragged hole at 200 yards. Maybe I'll get lucky and eventually learn to squeeze them off like a true gunner one day. :)

Its happening all over guys. Make sure you don't hit the post button twice even though it looks like it didn't take. Mods are on it and reaching out to @Joe Link

This ^^^. I hit reply and it doesn't go, but it actually does. Go somewhere else and when you look your post will be where it was supposed to be. o_O

Nothing wrong with that! Though some bullets do require more time to "settle down" (I believe Bryan Litz gets into this a little), the majority will easily stabilize @ 100 yds or before. The ones that won't, seem to be the ones that are driven hard.

Another thing to keep in mind when shooting for small groups, and wind will have an effect on your group size. Smaller up closer, but at 200 yds definitely, especially when we measure with precision instruments. This is why a lot of people ignore, or somewhat discount horizontal spread at longer distances and look more at the vertical spread to determine true group size.

The Valkyrie is not an easy caliber to load accurately. For many reasons I'll not go into, it can be quite finicky on what it's fed.
