Came home and had a curious taste for a Boilermaker. After said unusual desire was satiated, the old standby of the G&T was deployed. (@Ura-Ki, the both plan worked marvelously.) My family, they are still up in the city, even at this hour, though I don't know why. It is OK, I finally got the fire roaring on this cold, bleak night, talking to new friends on the computer, and listening to silly music.
