We've done this before, what are they? The longer one is 15-3/4 inches long, the shorter one is 12 inches long. They are made of hard, springy steel. As to identifying marks, the longer one has faint letters that appear to say, "something something RR." I can't make out the something. Circled in red in third picture. But the RR suggests they are associated with railroad work of some kind. The long side is very thin. The inside surface of the short side looks like it has seen some work. Your help is appreciated.

With RR on them, maybe they're a go-no go oversized "Feeler Gauges" for a locomotive, or some other large machinery?
