Maryland ruling a huge victory for CCW and SAF

A federal district court ruling in Maryland could pave the way for further Second Amendment challenges of state and local gun laws because the judge ruled that the right to keep and bear arms is not confined to one’s home, and that citizens do not need to provide a “substantial” reason for obtaining a carry permit, because the right to bear arms is all the reason one needs.

That giant flushing sound came from the Brady Center headquarters....

Great. Now lets get the NFA repealed as well.

+1. Modern handgun technology makes bans/controls on short barreled rifles/shotguns pointless, suppressors should be encouraged - or even mandatory - in the name of public health and to reduce noise pollution, and the 86 MG ban is straight up unconstitutional.

Now to get it spread throughout the entire USA.

We're headed for CA soon and I REALLY dislike having to go unarmed while there except when in our motorhome and parked!

Now the question is: will MD appeal? or will DC put political pressure on them because of the huge risk of loss of an appeal would DC back under the gun? So far Maryland (and Purto Rico, their PR Supreme Court said the same thing about PR law that was very similar to MD's) one step at a time.

Maryland ruling: State AG will appeal, antis demonize decision

Monday’s big win for gun rights in Maryland – courtesy a lawsuit filed by the Bellevue-based Second Amendment Foundation on behalf of Maryland resident Raymond Woollard – is already being demonized by anti-gunners, and will likely be appealed by the State Attorney General.
