I was given a Western Field 30/30 when I activate the lever there is nothing inside to guide the round to the chamber. I have never seen this rifle before. Is this the way it's made or can I order the piece
Are you saying that the Cartridge Elevator is missing? or Cartridge Stop is missing? Or Both?
If so We must know the name and model of the gun, you may need to take off the part of the Stock to see if there are any stampings under it. This make help to ID Maker.

Oops, well at least we have a record of it if it ever happens to come up again. The rifle was made by Marlin for Montgomery Ward. Unlike other store brand Marlins, this model had walnut stocks instead of birch..
