There are also online resources for period dictionaries. It will come as no surprise that the meaning of the words support the general 2A advocate's understanding of the 2nd Amendment.

It is interesting to look up the definitions of all the words in the 2nd Amendment as well as the various words in the definitions themselves. (in the first link the lower case 's' looks a little like an 'f')
