Well I can't believe this happened - brand new FN SLP MK1

Bought a brand new fn slp mk1 yesterday not my first shotgun btw. Went out today with a friend who has a mossberg 930 jm pro , installed the modified choke, medium for lead and full for steel, shot 5 rounds of 3 inch buckshot, then I got 3 rounds of 2 3/4 game loads through it skeet shooting before I noticed something odd with the front sight, looked closer and noticed the front sight had seperated from the barrel the choke was missing, and the barrel was bulged out. My buddy and I have no idea what happened. Eathier do the guys at kieths. Called fn and I sent it to them today I am curious what will happen. There is no reason that this should have happened from what I put through it.

It probably still wont handle tactical low recoil rounds even when it's not trying to send chokes downrange.

Could the choke have backed out a little while you were shooting? Seems to me bad things could happen with a choke halfway screwed in. Or the wrong choke, although that might be less likely.

It came with 2 chokes and I know for a fact it didn't back out

I'll now go thank my wife for the Benelli Ethos she bought me.

Because after the 5 rounds of 3 inch I checked it and saw it was still in there and no way it would back out enough in 3 rounds of 2 3/4 ammo
