One year following the 1983 celebration of W.R. Weaver Co. 50th Anniversary, the company that was largely responsible for putting scopes on American rifles was closed. At one time they employed 600 people; and were the largest telescopic sight manufacturer in the world for most of their existence.
Their K4 scope was a best seller and this particular one made in 1983 to honor the founder, has his likeness emblazoned in gold on the turret cap covers along with a gold ring surrounding the objective and ocular.
Included with the original box/instructions are a pair of engraved Weaver rings that match the engraving on the1" scope tube.
Never mounted, never used, NIB. Crystal clear - no corrosion.
Someone having a pristine rifle made in 1983 would have a really cool outfit using this. Asking (obo)
