Hello,
Here is another one I'm selling for college tuition.
This is a factory built Weatherby in 7x64.
This is a rare rifle.
It was made in Japan, and the serial number falls into the early Japan Europa serial number range, it's H76*** for verification purposes. I called Weatherby to obtain a letter and unfortunately they do not offer that service any more. The gentleman I spoke with told me that the 7x64 were rare and that not many were made in this caliber.
It was sold new in Germany to a gentleman in the service from which I obtained this rifle from his estate. It has German proof marks, which appear to be Munich.
It has a Schmidt & Bender 8x56 made in W. Germany scope with a #1 reticle, set in claw mounts. Claw mounts are by far the best way to scope a rifle. The scope is easy to remove and reinstall and it's set to zero upon reinstalling. Claw mounts are very expensive to buy and very expensive to install by a competent gunsmith. This rifle has factory sights which are extremely rare on Weatherbys. It also has a factory Canjar set trigger.
This rifle is in nice shape. The wood is really nice and has a factory oil finish as opposed to the typical hi-gloss Weatherbys. It has some blemishes in the bluing as shown in pictures.
