It's a Vanguard. Sorry for not clearing that up sooner. If interested in a trade, really prefer a lever action .308, or possibly a 45-70 to try something new. Will take best offer as long as I can get enough out of it to buy one of the rifles I'm looking at on this site

. As for not being collected in my thoughts, that's oh so true, but an issue for an entirely different forum.

Seriously I've tried selling this fine specimen of a firearm since last november, and nobody's bitten or made a deal I like. A rifle is only worth what someone will pay. Deer season is getting closer and I'm trying to find a brush gun (love the Savage 99) that weighs a little less as I have a bum knee and a back that gives me ****.

Figured I'd try $400. If you want to make an offer for more, I'll gladly accept it.
