But this isn’t about not selling to .gov or other entities. It’s about selling, actually NOT selling, to the average consumer who either lives on the wrong side of an imaginary line or doesn’t belong to any cool gun clubs. Not the same.
Based on the geography, it would be safe to assume the overwhelming population of Portland is a dark blue voter, we’ve even got some of them here who despite their stated love of the 2nd amendment, continue to vote that way. If a business demands they show some type of affiliation proving they aren’t a dark blue voter, wouldn’t offend me.

If I ran a gun store I’d happily have a large sign that read, “if you voted for Biden, go Fck yourself, we won’t sell you guns or ammo.” I might, and I say might, consider selling them a double barrel shotgun, but only if they have a balcony to fire two blasts into the air from.

The problem with mixing business and politics is you alienate half of your potential audience immediately. I run a small business, and I’m just smart enough to leave the politics at home and happily do business with ANYONE that aligns with our company morals and policies. Firearms aren’t part of that.

This cancel culture is toxic and tearing the country apart when we would be working to welcome all and bringing more into the pro gun community.... lots of brand new gun owners that probably vote blue or support politics you disagree with need to learn their new guns just like anyone and will probably enjoy the new hobby.. The more they frequent gun stores and learn to use their new toys the faster they will learn to write their politicians they, probably, voted for. But here we are suggesting to cancel the very moderates we need to win the vote, to the curb.

I merely have one opinion, but I tend to believe in the “fight fire with fire” methodology. Again, in my opinion, part of the reason our country is in the state that it is in is because 1 side tries to “play by some set of morally based rules” while the other side plays to win, generally, no matter what.

We’ve already seen decades of this play out with lackluster results and increasing restrictions, even while people who “support the 2nd amendment, but...” embarrass themselves with their voting and viewpoints that are hypocritical to say the least.

Businesses can do as they please, unless of course you are a Christian baker or florist, those rights don’t apply in that case.

Try True Shot Gun Club. I've never had a problem with them and their prices as you say, "in this climate", are pretty good.

Freedom Munitions has some relatively good prices right now too.

I'm sorry, but if ones business is open to the public they should serve all the public. I don't get this discrimination culture and find it tearing the country apart. Pro-gun politics is just one subject in a huge sea of political topics, discriminating against people who don't align with all of ones opinions seems just like what many claim socialism leads to. Look where this has got the pro gun community, death by a thousand cuts.... yet, so many leftist gun owners out there that have more to vote for than just their gun rights get cancelled by gun stores, discriminated against by cake shops. Cant imagine why they would consider voting for any pro gun candidate when they have bigger issues to fry.

Conservative or right leaning voices have been, or are rapidly being silenced in this country...
How, where?
What Ive been seeing is a lot of conservative voice has been silenced when they promote hate speech and outrageous conspiracies. But I haven't seen any silenced from expressing their political views. Lots of conservative channels out there to tune into.

What they did to your order is a prime example of why you cant fix stupid. Yet another example of a company that should not be selling any thing to do with guns if they are that scared

Show me their voices in the MSM... ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC.... They’re all carrying the agenda of one left leaning political party...

My perception is that calling for people to not be allowed to amplify their speech is a left thing much more than a right thing. The left says "that's crazy, and you shouldn't be allowed to say it"; the right just says "that's crazy."

A stark current example is to compare the 2016 "Russia rigged the election of Trump" with the 2020 "Democrats stole the election for Biden." Doesn't matter what you think about either proposition, I don't think anyone can deny that the first got YUGE amplification (via media and social media) over literally years while the latter is actively suppressed by those same amplifiers.

Another current example: go to various hard 2A supporter sites and read/hear about how they are demoneytized, how their sites "go dark", how their metrics will do hard, sudden, "drops in viewers/supporters" that belie an actual change in who's following rather point to some manipulation by the hosting entity.

So yeah... I think the right is being "silenced" much more than the left. It's philosophy - the right honors free speech more IMO, the left sees outcome as more important and therefore is squishy on free speech if suppressing it "serves the common good". And more important it's also implementation with the rise/consolidation of social media/media.

Glenn Beck, Donald Trump, half of the conservative Vloggers on YouTube, I'm sure I can find you a list somewhere. Not being rude or anything - I can definitely find it. Here's a hint though: I won't be using Google.

If you think there is ANYTHING conservative America can do to get leftists to vote differently, I would say that is very hopeful of you, but rather ignorant. The goal posts
is continually moved, the death by a thousand cuts is what has happened BECAUSE conservative America has compromised, not because it stood firm and drew a line in the sand.

I’m perfectly fine with acknowledging many of my “fellow Americans” are my countrymen by name only, but that we differ so stoutly and oppositely at an ideological level that we are essentially enemies but have yet to formally raise arms against each other, because neither of us can achieve our desired goals simultaneously.

For example, anyone who thinks and votes likewise that I should be coerced or physically force to give up my most effective method of defending myself and my country from tyranny - they are my enemy, but we can keep up this pretense of a civilized society for a while longer.

This is good, and closer to what Ive observed but I will interject some thoughts. The thing to remember is society always has a slight left leaning bias, naturally. There is slightly more left leaning media sources than right leaning sources. This explains the impression of amplification of left opinion over right opinion but not cancel culture. What Ive seen with the hard right sites (like 2A sites) is theyve been fine for years until forum members started projecting hate speech and violence not the sites political position. Parlor is a good example of people who've been cancelled on Facebook for this. That said I think theres some truth in demonitizing of some conservative platforms, yet there is no shortage of conservative channels especially gun channels there.

We'd have to go down the rabbit hole of definitions here to be sure, but without doing that I fundamentally disagree.

Right/Conserve/Simple/Traditional rather than Left/Expand/Complex/Cosmopolitan is "natural" to humans. I base this on what happens when things (realtionships, society, order, etc.) collapse. Return to nature as it were. These human things never collapse into a more complex state.

I think a good question to ask is why conservative America has compromised....? I think there are many leftists that do support gun rights but they just aren't single issue voters. I might agree that they wont vote differently to support gun rights exclusively, but I do think that if they were more vocal about supporting their gun rights it would tip the scales on that front. Considering them the enemy isn't helping get them there. From my experience the few leftist gun owners I know most simply just don't know or are very unaware how these "common sense" gun laws affect them personally.
Its certainly complicated.... Im just trying to figure it out strategically.
