Ok after several months of trying to find a left side plate and grip panel, I threw in the towel and made them myself, this is the result, I also was able to order a box of 50 rounds for it. So as soon as the ammo arrives I'm going to take this WW 1 vet out and shoot her a few times.

My Third Cousin hunted with a Colt Lighting in .45-85-285. The test of the Family used Winchester Model 94s in .30-30. A .30-30 would rattle all the way from Chamber to Muzzle! If course, he was the one who forgot his Ammunition in Town and was the ONLY one who even saw a Deer!Colt small frame Lightning. .22 short and long. about 1897 mfgr. date. the Lightnings were made in 3 frame sized,in every caliber imaginable 'back in the day', even the mighty 50-90 as I recall.

You are probably right. But part of me is considering turning one gun into 5. Bet there is someone who would love this enough to fully arm me. Lol.Y'know, here in yUK I could actually buy and own a rifle like that without ANY documentation of any kind - it's an obsolete calibre, y'see.
However, that there is a genuwine piece of real American history, and seeing as how you live in a country where you can have as many of any kind of gun that you care to pay for, there is no way on earth that I'd part with that for for something more 'practical'. I say 'practical' there, but I bet that nobody shot with that is around to complain that it didn't work.
I have 2 of these they are fun rifles! Here's another .22. Mossberg 51M (b) They were first made in 1939 and discontinued during WWII.View attachment 119113 View attachment 119117

No idea. Have never owned one, have been issued but I always found a replacement as my job allowed that.since when did ar's come with stacking swivels
The M-16 was "Stacked" using the Sling since no "Stacking Swivel" was included in the design.since when did ar's come with stacking swivels
Here is a box of the ammo for it...1903 Mark 1 with "C" stock. Set up for the "secret" Pedersen device. Changes the 03
to a semi auto rifle!
