So who here can attest to any benefits of waxing a blue gun?
Often I'll hit my gat with some Sno-Seal or magich car wax followed with a heat gun. Probably lame, but who oils the paint on their car?
And you stainless guys, stifle.

Fellow I know had a beautiful rifle collection in a room up stairs in his house. He went up there on day and his cat had sprayed one wall of rifles destroying their collectability. He then studied the problem and used Johnsons paste wax on all his guns. I never saw the cat.:D

+1. I have been using Renaissance Wax for several years now with good results.

When a new gun comes home, it is stripped, bore cleaned with favorite bore solvent, exterior metal cleaned with mineral spirits, and then apply the Renaissance Wax to both metal and wood. After handling and use, I wipe down with soft microfiber cloth. Depending on how much handling, I periodically re-clean and re-apply.

Haven't noticed any issues and I like how the gun isn't oily to attract dust.
