Anyone naive enough to think that their internet usage is not being monitored needs to engage their brain and start using whatever critical thinking skills they may have. Granted, that usage isn't being monitored by an individual 24/7, but it is being stored and reviewed by something much faster, more efficient and insidious. Namely, the machines belonging to our various "intelligence" agencies. Once those machines flag you for potential dastardly deeds, then the information gets reviewed by an actual human.
People often call me a ludite because I don't have a computer, don't have a Facebook or Twitter account, don't buy anything online, don't finance anything, always pay cash for everything and don't have or use credit/debit cards for anything. Videos like the one posted above are just a stark confirmation that I'm probably doing the right thing.

What happens if you buy a 50# sack of potatoes and a solvent trap adapter?

I feel dumb sometimes because all the fuel ,time, and wear on my car from driving all over Washington and Oregon could be saved by ordering online.
Then I see this.
I have never even ordered ammo online because I don't want a digital footprint .
I dislike profiling of any type. New methods are fast and they seem to make investigations so easy. Easy is dangerous. Lots of people fit a number of different profiles. Especially if you know that your Google history(your social credit score )means more than you do as a real person .

My 72 Ford Ranch Wagon, old yellowed original type sealed beams - with new off-road LED's lurking behind the grille work.View attachment 728929

That is kind of what I want to do for all of my vehicles. My daily driver already has HID, but on the mountain, at night, driving home, it would be useful to have more lighting. On my trucks their lighting is just plain poor period, and it is just easier to have aux lighting than convert the OEM lighting to something useful yet legal.

Not just internet - anything that goes over the "tubes" (anything digital, including your phones, etc.) is grabbed by the NSA and sifted thru. This especially includes all of your financial transactions which are not just grabbed, but analyzed.

Worked with a software architect who worked on software that the gov and casinos use to analyze your social and financial network - i.e., who you know and have contact with, via phone, email, etc., and who you live with or close to, who you work (or used to work) with and so on.

Casinos use it to catch their employees engaging in cheating schemes with known cheaters/scam artists/etc.

The gov uses it to figure out who may be a threat to them - e.g., domestic and foreign terrorists. So if you interact with or somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who is a criminal or has spy or terrorist plans/ambitions/etc., then there is a flag on you. The closer your relationship, the more interaction, the higher interest the gov has in you and your relationship.

And of course, your purchases - the type and frequency and amounts. The fact that I buy a lot of guns and ammo and SHTF supplies and so on - all interesting to the gov.

I am not too sure if it is still a thing, but for a while YouTube was pushing below-video ads for "Solvent Traps". Riiiiiight, riiiiiight......Ummm No!. I am pretty sure that the "ad" was literally a trap. The ad only seemed to pop up under gun/shooting types of vids. Very odd.

This is in regard to the "fuel filters" being advertised and sold all over the internet right now. Ive seen the ads on Facebook for months. They are suppressors with no holes drilled. Some are only missing the hole on the one end. Huge sting operation to try and stop these from being imported. What I find ironic is facebook allowing them to be advertised, since they are so anti gun. Seems to me they are deliberately setting up gun owners for a visit from the feds. If you see the ads, just block them.

I'm glad the government is pulling agents away from arresting rioters and pyromaniacs, and quelling mobs, to do the really important work like checking out some guy's oil filters (a guy who actually has a youtube channel about oil filtering). Where would we be without our brave federal police?

This reminds me of something that happened when I lived in Cody, Wyoming. There was some guy flying out of the airport who had bought a few toys with blinking LEDs on them, for his little nephew back home. TSA pulled him out of the line and started interrogating him. Then they shut down flights into or out of the airport, and even shut down the state highway that ran in front of the airport. Then they got the bomb squad in Cheyenne (400 miles away), put them on a plane and flew them to Cody to interrogate this guy.

I wrote the following letter to the editor of the Cody Enterprise (a now leftist newspaper founded by Buffalo Bill):

I want to thank the YRA TSA for taking time out from their usual busy jobs of manhandling pregnant women and 80-year old grandmas, to save us from a collection of party toys. I just don't know how we managed in this country, before our brave airport warriors came on the scene! Thanks also to the other alphabet agencies that helped with this arduous and important task - even if they are unconstitutional.

What with the Angels' fiasco and now this, I am about to bust a gut laughing. Please, no more! I don't want a heart attack. Our Barney Fife "protectors" need to lighten up and not take themselves quite so seriously. Not all of us are scared of our shadows out here...

Yeah, the thing is that these were not the filters they were looking for.

ies%2Ficons%2Ffacebook%2F000%2F018%2F682%2Fobi-wan.jpg

Those kinds of filters wouldn't last very long as suppressors, are heavy, big and bulky (even for fuel filters) and would clog up the works of any firearm they are used on.

If the gov agent knew WTF he was doing, he would not have wasted his time and everybody else's time hassling this guy for buying actual fuel filters instead of the thinly disguised suppressors that a bunch of yahoos are selling.

I saw one my license plate bulbs and one tail light was out on my 1993 Nissan 4x4 Pickup truck. Replaced all of the external light lights with LED ones. I had to get a new flasher unit since LED flashers draw less power so does a hyper flash instead even though both turn signals are working.

A fairly easy job except I had to take the canopy off to replace the backup, turn signal, and tail light. I have a bed liner as well so had to be careful that I didn't break the bed liner.

My previous and current daily drivers both had LED rear lights from the factory. Very good. Never had a burned out LED and the previous car was 15 years old when I sold it to a neighbor. As far as I know it is still working fine. The downside is that most of the factory units are modules - you can't replace a bulb, but rather the whole tail-light and therefore expensive - but you generally only replace them if they get broken, like if you get rear ended.

I better be extra careful, I just bought these extra high power headlights, (Not made in the U.S.) and i'm using illegal high wattage bulbs! :D
And then I got bright LED light bulbs for all the other lights! 46 year old car, didn't have all that great lighting and it's a small car, so I look at it as a safety improvement!

Extra power headlights...
