I was at my local FFL last evening and he told me something that I can not believe it is happening. The state Of Washington has decided they are not going to pay the fees for background checks on handguns. The state sent a letter to all the FFL's in the state. He goes on to tell me that after January 1st of this year. ALL handguns sales will have a 10 day waiting period even if you have a concealed weapons permit. I would like to know what Dave Workman has to say about this BS. The politicians in this state are just a big pile of turds. VOTE NO I-1639.

There was another thread on this I think, and it wasn’t that there’s a 10 day waiting period, but that all sales had to also be approved and checked through the local Sheriff’s office? So that would intentionally add several days to wait, and they was something also with a negative impact to FFLs to released firearms after to 10 day maximum hold.

But I may be wrong.

with or with out the passing of I-1639. After Jan 1. Your CPL in no longer any good for the purchase of a hand gun at a dealer. With your CPL, you will still have a 10 day waiting period. The state of Washington has decided to stop paying for BGC's to the feds. So now everything for a handgun purchase will go through the State Patrol. There was no notification to the public. The state sent letters to all of the FFL's in the state. An administrative move.

I thought that there was only supposed to be one item allowed on an initiative. I1639 has multiple items all rolled up in one big mess. Gun storage, age limitations, medical checks etc.... Hopefully this ends up at the current Supreme Court .
Hopefully, but as all things anti - they could honestly care less.

They haven’t lost anything, and have “won” in the meantime.

And “they” will “win” by making someone (some entity) spend time, money & resources fighting it. An entity which could have used those same resources going in the other direction.

Will likely take years (I honestly hope not),and in the meantime “they” will use the “win” to compound other anti-initiatives onto. Sad!

Making honest folks criminals overnight is the goal.

I just got a shotgun well I haven't got it yet .
I order it over a month ago.It came in I went to store to do paper work. And was delayed till the 15 of November.
I told the guy I have CPL he said it doesn't matter with a shotgun.cpl only matters with a handgun.
Stupid but what ever I get delayed every time.
But now it will be longer.
But this 1639 will be in court for years now .
The libs are celebrating but this law will be tied up in court for years now.

Unfortunately the Californication of Washington is inevitable. As long as the disease that is known as Seattle (and Portland in Oregon) continues to grow and fester, there is no way to stop it. It is simply a numbers game and a matter of time.

It does not matter how much conservative gun owners fight or try to stand up for their rights. Eventually the number of toxic liberals will exceed the number of gun owners. And when that occurs...well...one only has to look to California to see what is in store for Washington.

If there is something you want...be it AR, or standard 30 round magazines, suppressors, heck even basic semi auto handguns, etc. Buy it now. Because NOTHING is off limits to liberals.

My guess is that you have 5-10 years before Washington is fully Californicated. And that's probably being generous. You've already started to see it happen here and in Oregon. For example, they've tried to get an Assault Weapons Ban off the ground in both states. So far they have failed. But how long do you think before they have enough votes to make it happen? Both states are already considered Blue states.

I truly hope I'm wrong here. But sadly...I don't think I am. May god save the Republic.

5-10 years is generous for OR. Every single liberal state measure passed in OR this election. They tried to get sweeping gun control on the ballot for this year and the NRA kept it off due to wording but it would have passed had it made it to the ballot. I say we have 2 years before we have CA style gun laws!

sorry to say this, but..... THIS WONT GET ANY BETTER ONLY WORSE
when a political party has the stones to rig the U.S. elections and then the deep state justice dept try's to frame the president of the united states and nothing comes of it but perpetrators are making millions selling books???

your insane if you think you will get justice even if after millions are spent fighting this in court they will slap more biting infringements on you tomorrow morning

the second Amend measures that were just passed wont help either , they are a temporary bandaids protecting us from the demorat germ......it just buys you time thru WILL NOT COMPLY STATUS...... LEGALLY.......until they run it thru the 9th circus or some other corrupt democrat judge....like was done with FISA warrants

leave the left coasts to the less intelligent immoral that have amassed here, blowing millions on legal battles in states you cant covert are baseless, roll over or move to a place where you are not viewed as a criminal for defending the constitution and your money can be spent bolstering the pro constitution mindset in your new location ....trust me its liberating

NRA knows this left coast is a waste of money and effort, their actions amply confirm this

sometimes you have to wake up when you smell the coffee and the stench of your liberal progressive socialist neighbors :(

There needs to be some serious convo about breaking up the western states. WA, OR, and CA all have large sections of their states that don’t align politically with the population centers and could easily be divided. East and west WA, northwest and the rest of OR, and north and south CA. This would more accurately represent the people of those areas.

Well it sure has more traction right now then it ever has before in my lifetime. Look at CA and the movement there to split the state. The further left these state governments Move the more of a chance it will have. In my area of the state there are quite a few people who are talking about this. I know people who never mentioned this before and now agree that Oregon needs to be 2 different states.
