IMO it never hurts to be reminded that good guys with guns can stop people like this. I wonder if the guy in the car is still paralyzed.

Also for me at least it never hurts to see real-world situations of bad guys with guns so we can ask ourselves "how would we react in that situation?" (ie what specific actions would we take if we were in place x, y, z). Especially when it's close to home. IMO one of the best things that legal concealed carryers can do is try to imagine themselves in such situations when at the range and practice responses (even if only mentally). It's like an airline pilot who has practiced an emergency 100s of times. when the real thing happens he already knows exactly how to react, he is also less likely to panic and respond in a calm, deliberate, and confident manner.
