walmart long term food

So I stopped by my local Wally world yesterday to pick up some paint and noticed they had quite a display of "survival food". Think they had cases of 300 meals for about $70 as I recall. Has anyone bought/tried these?

Yes, Wally World has been carrying that stuff a while now. If you're talking about the 6 packs of No 10 cans, they contain supposedly 200 SERVINGS, not MEALS. Divide the 200 by 3 or 4 servings in a meal to figure out how long they will really last. Comes to about 2 weeks per adult. They have a dinner pack and a breakfast pack.

Not sure of the taste/quality; I'm assuming it's the same as all freeze dried stuff. I've stashed some of them myself.

Never assume. For example Trive is far superior to the Wal-Mart stuff.

It would have to be something that is unbelievable, super sale of a life time before I go into that place...

Must work for most though as they are big...

They find a need they fill the need.. Kinda Crazy they don't care what quality it is they sell to fill the need though..
It does make it hard on us little guys..

The freeze-dried food is about all I get at Wally World. I learned that WINCO has No10 cans now, so I get what I can there. Also, I found out that Cash&Carry has No10 cans of dehydrated instant potatoes for about $& here in Seattle.
