I talked to some gun show people yesterday and here is what is going on this weekend. First off Wes has his show at the Centralia Fair grounds. Next the Falcon gun show is also going on down the street at the Yard Birds building. Then WAC has their show in Elma. Who the hell is planning 3 shows on the same weekend? How retarded. I was told that the WAC show is so weak they are giving free tables away to vendors. The other 2 shows are at about 60% vendors. All 3 shows have very little attendance as well. It is time that all of them get together and coordinate their dates so they will not conflict with the other's shows. I was also told that the first WAC show in Puyallup will be in October. That came from somebody on the board of directors at WAC.

I went on Saturday. I think there were maybe 50 vendors, and none were recognizable regulars from the Portland area. Quite a few regular folk just trying to pass on their stuff. Ammo was not cheap but there was a lot there. More than what sportsmans (vancouver) currently has, who as of friday was selling 20rd boxes of winchester 762nato for $60. Bit too much for me. But at the gun show I did score three boxes of Hornady 50AE for total of $90. The sellers were willing to haggle. WAC advised us a week or so ago that since they had not sold all their available tables that they were opening those still remaining to those members wishing to avail themselves of their free annual table.

No beanie babies present that I saw. Good turnout (parking lot was pretty full). Ammo priced at what the market will support these days I guess. Some familiar faces, and Salish was there with their awesome knives. I've been to Wes Knodal shows before the WAC shutdown and they were completely useless as far as I'm concerned. For a first WAC show in over a year I think it was decent, but I'd like to hear what a vendor has to say since that's what really counts.

As far as free tables, WAC members get a free table a year and they sent out an email saying they still had space so maybe that's what you heard about.

I heard that from a life long WAC vendor that has been a memeber since the late 80s.
