It also outlaws any contrivance that suppresses the noise of firearms

"(c) Uses any contrivance or device for suppressing the noise of any firearm,"

The "Trade Rating" is low by 9 until the forum update is finished
and not everyone posts it I guess.

The entire bill is short, and PDF's are a PITA.

No it doesn't. That is how law currently is, so that is not a change. It looks like Ranb's hard work is going to pay off and that part of the law is going to be changed.

In the link the lined out part is what is being eliminated from the current law, and the underlined part is what they want ADDED to the current law.

Funny part is with the "NEW" law the LEO are not exempt either. They are ONLY exempt IF they are carrying a "spring blade knife" if this version goes though................

I wrote to Jerome Delvin 8th legislative district and told him what I thought about this bill and his response was as follows:

"Thanks Jeff for the e-mail and comments. There is only a House bill introduce so I would not give it much chance of moving through the process. I will put it on the list of bills to watch.

    Senator Jerome Delvin
    8th Legislative District"

Doesn't sound like its going anywhere but he's on it.

Just spoke with Kirk Pearson (39th) and he said it looks like this didn't make it on the agenda and he would be very supprised if this got any traction anyways. Sounds like they have to deal with this left wing loon all the time so anytime they see her come out with legislation they keep an eye on it.
