Ill Eagle has a few booths IIRC - I just saw one a couple weeks ago when I was driving up 101 to Sequim, and they had one between Puyallup and Tacoma last time I drove that stretch too. I haven't been into fireworks in years - Safe & Sane stuff ruined them for me. You can't even get good sparklers in Oregon anymore because the stuff that actually didn't suck was banned. Maybe get back into fireworks when the kid is a bit older.

Best celebration of the 4th came 6 years ago - at a friend's place. We BBQ'd. Then about dark we went out back and proceeded to have a fireworks show using an AR-15, a 12ga, and a couple Glock 19's - he lived out in Beavercreek on a good chunk of land, so the fun was "safe and sane" anyway. Then when the wife & I got home, we continued our celebration with a different kind of fireworks and 39 weeks later, well, our little family added a +1 :D

Damn sounds like I need to get a move on it and find something since the 4th is fast approaching lol

I thing you're going to need to drive up to Chehalis and go West. Assuming those stands are still there that is. I guess it is...
Security Check Required

It's been years (16?) since I was up the Gorge to get some. It was kind of creepy at that time pulling off the road down to plywood shacks between the highway and the river. Up to Centrailia/chehalis is quick clean and guaranteed.

Zooming in on the map now I see this place is further up than we used to go. When we went we headed straight West from Chehalis about 12 miles, and took a left and several hundred yards South.

Please, as you shop for and then prepare to detonate all your fun, remember those of us with dogs and young kids. One night is quite enough fun. And it seems like having them go until one in the morning is a bit rediculous.

So please, have fun, be awesome, show your family a great time, but be aware that you might have neighbors that are struggling to keep their young children asleep and their dogs from pissing all over everything...

Does anyone know any good Indian Reservations in Washington state that sell, err, "special" fireworks? I remember going to one near The Dalles on the Washington state side of the river in the past, but I was wondering if there were any good ones around Seattle, particularly near Puyallup since I'll be driving through there this weekend.
This depends on what you mean by good ones lol if you're talking about stuff off the books like m80 or tennis ball bombs .
You have to walk around and talk to people HEHEE .
They are illegal .just so you know .
It was years ago but I went to pyulup fireworks stands and just asked a guy I thought looked like he might know .lol
Hey where are the really good ones . HEHEE
He said come back in 15 minutes with 60 bucks .

They are really dangerous man you never know what's going to happen with them .but I was young and dumb got three things .
That where F@#$$&& loud and powerful I don't recommend it go safe and sane .mmmmm

The Muck casino is where you want to look.
That being said, I would steer away from the M80's and other homemade items and seek the traditional type fireworks with some extra "sauce". There is a plethora of items to satisfy your needs that are manufactured in China for the worldwide consumer market, but are considered too dangerous for us in the States by the regulatory powers that be.

Real good way to get your ride confiscated if you take 'em Off Res... dunno it it's still the case but most of the stands in the "Greater" Seattle Metro area used to be pretty well staked out by plainclothes.

Which reminds me, I gotta call some Navajo friends I met while roadtripping and ask 'em about a Rain Dance for up here... :D Too many stupid people around here, and with a huge vacant lot next to our property every year I'm afraid some sh*tsucker is gonna burn my place down.

Follow the signs to the casino. There are stands all over.

I work on the Yakama Res. You can get just about anything you want. The sheriff occasionally sets up patrols and pulls people over that buy fireworks as they sometimes have an agent sending them license plate numbers. As soon as they leave the res they get busted. Doesnt happen much though as they rarely bother but it could happen.

I don't buy fireworks on this side of the mountain because its really a tinderbox in the summer. When I lived on the west side where you practically need a blowtorch to start a fire I'd buy the big boomers and mortars. Sometimes I'd dump a paycheck on the res.

Heres an example of how it really works on the Res.

Yesterday one of my direct reports left his house to go to work in the morning. He's got a few hundred acres and runs a small cattle ranch. 10 minutes after he left apparently someone pulled onto his property and tried to open his storage shed with a set of bolt cutters. His wife looked out the window and saw the guy trying to rob them and walked outside with her 1911 and opened fire on the guys truck putting 3 rounds through it. The guy jumped in his truck and got the hell out of there. When the Sheriff deputy and the tribal cop showed up the tribal cop wanted to write her a ticket for discharging a firearm on the reservation. The Sheriff deputy told the tribal cop to shut the hell up and go away.
