Finally got time to read some of that.. so a corporation can own post 86 NFA items? :confused:

Doesnt have to be a corporation. You can as an individual get an FFL and get a 02/07 SOT and build your own. You can also become a dealer and deal in post samples to law enforcement agencies. Thats hard to do. The manufacturer angle is more expensive fee wise but you don't have to go and and try to convince police agency heads to sign a demo letter for you. Most will tell you to pound sand until you do extraordinary things to woo them. That means full time gun business operations, store front, etc in most cases. The manufacturer bit can be done out of a back shop or even your house if you are zoned for it. Still 2 grand a year. You can always do transfers for a fee to pay it back though.

But can an LLC simply purchase post 86 NFA stuff without an FFL or other BATF classification?
