New bill would put Washington-made guns and ammo above federal... | www.kirotv.com
yes. but how many firearms do you have that were "made in Washington"?
well.. my Mega AR was "made in Washington"
Parts kit builds assembled in WA would count towards that as well.
I'm into building Sterling "SMG's" now, I'm going to have one for each hand and foot by the time I'm done!
The article is wrong AFAIK. I'm fairly sure the NRA has nothing to do with these Firearms Freedom bills. They were first introduced by Gary Marbut in Montana, and they are basically symbolic gestures that are obviously not binding on the Feds and have no practical impact.
There was a lawsuit against the Feds at one point but Gary's website hasn't been updated for ages.
I take that back - oral arguments in the trial scheduled for next month.
Awsome. Love it. We need to follow and support this one. Write your reps!
Colt is now making match grade carbines and rifles in Oregon so the could have a "Made in Oregon" stamp. With Novenske and Nosler and others Oregon would stand to save tax revenue by passing a bill like this one.
Lets get the Oregon legislature to put a bill like this on the table for this year.
There is Olympic Arms: Olympic Arms
Mega, olympic, rainier, tnt, surplus, aero, ar five seven just off the top of my head not to mention any other ffl that private labels their lowers at one of the companies here.
Again, this bill is just pandering. Never been tested in fed court and a long list of similar losses from the states. The Commerce Clause effectively nullifies this type of bill and has for decades.
If you want to be the test case...
