WA DOT uses old M60 tanks for avalanche control along US2

    I wonder if you could go for a "ride along" with the DOT on avalanche control day, that would be awesome!

    They've had that for a while, I remember a story on those back in the late '90's. IIRC, its fixed, surveyed in and they blindly fire at a few azimuths to knock the snow loose. They have a M40A1 106mm recoiless (or at least use to) on a hard mount somewhere up there too. My first duty was in a 106 platoon (that certainly dates me...).
