Closure is effective immediately and will remain in place through Friday at the earliest

The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is closing all of the lands it manages east of the Cascades to recreation due to high fire danger. The closure will last at least through Friday, and DNR staff will evaluate the possibility of extending it as the week progresses.

Dang. I have a week hunting trip coming up. Unless the weather changes. It will get canceled.
bummer after all the work I've done. And money I've spent.

That only says closed to recreation, but doesn't say anything about hunting. I'd check with WDFW to see the latest closures, just to be sure... (I know that they closed target shooting on all DNR State managed lands, and in doing so, they stated that hunting was still open. This time, no mention of hunting activities. So check WDFW.)

Hunting is a "RECREATIONAL" activity. In this context, I believe the distinction would be Vs Comercial.
Hmmm... I see hunting as more of a necessity, (and/or right), rather than a Recreational activity. But I'm not a lawer and haven't seen an actual definition of the two in question. I do find hunting is certainly a peaceful recreational experience, however in my mind, it is more for food than recreation.
