...a report from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reveals that there is a considerable economic benefit from growing gun ownership, a fact that probably is not lost on the state's budget writers.

With our set of legislators the words "probably not lost" is a hope rather than a statement. In my opinion their only interest is in statisfying the uproar of the day. The big picture is beyond them.
