Disclaimer: This is my VZ58 build. I have no responsibility whatsoever if you have any problem using my method. All firearms should be checked with gunsmiths to make sure they are safe to use. I have 6 US made parts in compliance with 922r.
I am aiming at low cost build. This is the cheapest method. Attached is my finished VZ58. Instructions will follow.

modify Zastava AK thumb hole stock to fit. Cut to lower about 10 degree so the iron sight will work OK. (only $5 or $10 for 4 at centerfire system)

I then cut about 2" of 3/4 round tube and machine then welded to make 16"+ barrel. I also machined gas piston to make 6th part to comply.
I missed a lot of pictures (busy building)
If you have questions, please ask, I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge

I tested on my previous build, this one is way better but not tested yet.
No heat treat necessary since this one doesn't use hammer. Also wall thickness is .120 and it fit really tight

I plan to build a couple, i have 2 receivers and 2 parts kits. 1 reciever is a 100% and 1 is an 80%...but dang man you rock for making it all yourself

I didn't leave a section to drill a hole for bolt hold open but added it at a later time
I myself bought 1 100% receiver 9 years ago but never got it done. I think it's harder to press fit the new barrel than build the whole thing.
