Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
That's a completely arbitrary question and completely depends on the person. You would have to look through it and decide. Its 10 power. 10 times bigger than the naked eye.
I understand, I was just looking for your opinion. I was thinking it may be a smaller alternative to a spotting scope and tripod. I've never used a monocular so I was not sure if it was a viable option at all. Thanks.
Oh....sorry. No, I wouldn't use it for that. My eyes are so bad I need way more power. And I'm not steady enough. If your eyes are good and your steady I guess it could be. I just wouldn't recommend it.
Depends on the projectile size too. Spotting 45 cal at 100 yards with 10x is easy, 30 cal is harder but possible, 22 cal harder yet. I've never tried monocular, but sounds like a good idea for light optic for long hikes or maybe a good option if you have a good eye and a bad eye
