Colt is actually bundling a few Leupold VX-R scopes with some of their AR rifles. More people should check the Leupold VX-R out, as I think that they are a good option.

Here is a review of the VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x that gives a good view of the Firedot reticle, if anyone wants to see what it looks like. Note: The other VX-R models don't have the exposed target turrets that the Patrol model has. That was the only complaint by this reviewer:
