Volunteers are needed to help with our Target Shooter Information program. We would like to strengthen our existing program, in Mt. Hood Nat Forest, and start new ones in Tillamook State Forest and Yacolt Burn State Forest (WA State). Help is also needed in stocking brochure materials at local gun shops and outdoor stores.
We need leaders and helpers. The Leaders would take charge of their booth program, organize the help and schedule booth days. Helpers would be a pool of help that chip in, as often as they can, to help operate the booth. (Always a minimum of 2 people per booth). The leader does not have to be at each set up, only competent people who know the routine. The leaders and helpers coordinate schedules and information in 'Private Conversation' groups that I will help get set up for each forest group.
We need equipment. Pop-up canopies, folding tables, sign banners, sandwich signs and handout brochures. We will need to do a fund raiser for most of this stuff. The sign banners, sandwich signs and handout brochures are specific to NWFA and will need to be authorized, ordered and paid for by NWFA (that's where we need some funds). The other handouts would come from each of the Forest Service entities. (For the Mt Hood program, we have all equipment and supplies, with the exception of the NWFA brochures).
If you are unfamiliar with this program, you may read about it in the Community Outreach section...

I will help your program get started and will be sure that you are well equipped, however, I cannot be at each booth setup. I need some help.
This Target Shooter Information program is the first of it's kind and holds great potential to make a significant difference in the way our public land is being treated. Information and awareness are the key elements to invoke change. It gets our 'boots on the ground' in the fight to protect our right to shoot on public land, helps keep access open and protects all of that for future generations.
Thank you for your help.
