If the Democrats win the two contested Senate seats in Georgia, the Democrats in Virginia will reverse course.

For now they're wait to see what's possible on the federal level, and consider what price they'll pay in the 2022 by-elections if they proceed.

Its always been about pushing as far as they think they can, then backing off. Normally this leads to my favorite thing, compromise. Where we tell ourselves we won as we kept "them" from doing what they wanted and we only had to "give a little". Problem of course is we always are the one giving, never goes the other way.
I have long said almost no anti rights law makers will hold this line if they think it will cost them their power. If they think going against gun owners will make them lose? They will say anything to keep the job and power. Why not it works so can't blame them.
