WTS OR Vintage Remington 700 BDL 7MM

WTS, low serial number early 60's Remington 700 BDL chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, 24 inch Stainless Steel blued barrel, cool checkering and nice wood, blueing is excellent condition. Original iron sights will also be included. I am assuming this rifle has spent most its life in a safe (bolt face and crown hardly looked fired). I picked it up a couple years ago and put about 20 rounds through it. MOA shooter with 162 ELD-X and a mild load of H4831. Scope is a new VX-2 3-9x40 gloss with duplex reticle and Talley base/rings.

I've never seen a stainless stamped blued barrel before. Pretty cool. Wonder if it picks up rust at all?

It's an early Remington thing. My understanding is they are stainless steel coated with some sort of copper then blued.

They only made those a couple years. Some of the best barrels Remington ever made. They were trying to get better barrel life ( throat erosion) out of the magnum line. 17-4 stainless I think Remington told me.
