Even on this subject the forum seems divided...oh well, to each his own. To those who "signed the blank check" and put their lives on the line, I salute you. As I am one of those "mercenaries", I am proud to say I defended the rights of ALL Americans, even those with whom I absolutely disagree. Personally, it matters not so much what others think; I care more for the respect of those with whom I fought...we had each others back and not all returned whole, and some, not at all...so, whether it was serving in I Corps or Iowa, God bless each and everyone of you. You may not have all been sailors, but to me, you are all truly "Shipmates".
